The free breakfast was a great idea, but on the day we checked out we had to leave by 8.15AM and the breakfast wasn't even set up yet, so we had to miss out. Other than that, a very enjoyable stay.

The staff was awesome, and ready to answer any questions. Hernan was a great help in getting me acclimated to the city, and for remembering the guests' names! Bedding was clean, and the rooms quite warm! -25C outside, but toasty inside. Bathrooms and toilets were clean, and stocked with TP. The common area made it easy to meet people. The hostel was definitely one of the nicer and welcoming ones I've stayed in.

Some dorm rooms are very noisy at night as they are next to the common areas where people hang out and chat. People are meant to go down to the basement after 11pm to reduce the noise but it rarely happens before midnight. So if you are a light sleeper, buy ear plugs! Otherwise it is a fabulous place to stay, excellent staff, good location and great facilities.

'Facilities' should be another heading on this site, for that I would give 'average'. The washrooms are awkward with poor sound insulation and the Ikea beds squeak with the plastic mattress coverings giving off a lot of noise. The lounge is a great place to chill and meet people where it is centrally located. We were howling laughing for the week I stayed there. Julian, Hernan and Tim will make your stay memorable.

I absolutely loved this hostel!! Lots of character, beautiful people inside all the time, cool staff and Montreal is a beautiful city. I would definitely recommend this hostel. Definitely. Definitely. Definitely. STAY HERE!

This was my first time staying in a hostel and it was a really positive experience! It went far beyond my expectations, pretty much everything you could need is included and the staff is extremely helpful.
