Unfortunately only a self-catering kitchen! But the room were really clean, also the bathrooms.
The staff are very nice and helpful.

It was very cold in the hallways and the heat only stays on for an hour at a time so very cold in the morning. Very few people were spending time in the hostel so kind of boring.

Location is excelent, stuff is friedly, the doors in the shower are not transparent :), the interior design in the shades of orange is very optimistic... A few negative moments: 1) the internet access is awfully slowly, 2) the dorm felt cold at night, 3)lockers and pegs for hanging coats in the dorm would be appreciated. Anyway, if I'm ever going to Newcastle again, I'm definitely staying in this place!

we didnt have any plug sockets in our room, only down side, luckily we had friends in another room with plug sockets!!

I went to Newcastle with 3 friends for the new year and we had a great time in the Albatross Hostel. The folk who work there are really friendly and so helpful. Would definitely go back and recommend it to others!

The toilets are way too far away from some of the beds, but otherwise the nicest hostel I've stayed in.
And they need faster internet connections or processors on their computers. I spent 8 minutes of my 30 minute internet access card waiting for the windows from who was on last to close out. and the computer to restart.
