Lockers were tomarrow. I think I lucked out because there was only 1 other person staying on my floor, so noise wasnt really an issue at all. Overall the lounge was pretty dead, but I did meet one really outgoing Japanese guy there by chance, and spent a nice night with him drinking and chatting, but that kind of situation didnt really seem typical of the hostel from the overall atmosphere. The hostel kind of sells itself as being in the heart of Shinjuku, which isnt exactly true.

At first I thought the location was pretty poor, but once you master the subway system it is actually very close to Shinjuku which is great. There wasn't exactly much of an atmosphere as the shared area wasn't great. They did however give me a free ride to the bus station which was a nice bonus.

Great hostel if you dont mind sleeping in a capsule style bed. Also you need to be a little quiet at night as there is a frail old lady that lives nearby. ;)

There is a curfew from 2:00 and 4:30 am that is unlisted, but not big of a problem in practice really. Not that close to the actual Shinjuku downtown, but at walking distance. Comfortable beds.

met so many cool people in the lounge room on the 9th floor. best hostel i ever had. you just need some time to get used to the capsule and then you'll love it.

After staying there for 4 nights I think previous travellers comments were a bit unfair. Elevator smelled only tiny bit. Dorm bedscubbies and toilets were very clean. The curtains for were much appreciated - privacy and some protection from noise & light. Front desk staff were very helpful e.g. showed me that all 7-elevens (incl. the one around the corner)accept foreign cards.

This is actually a casuple hotel. Good for sleeping as light and noise a blocked out. Only two female showers for 9 floors of people. lockers are not big enough for your whole bag but just valuables. pretty good place in general.
